Referring to the typeface you have designed answer the following :

Which personality traits did you choose to respond to and apply to the typeface?

Elegant, direct and proud.

What are the reasons behind the design decisions you have made for the typeface?

I have included elegant curves within the letterforms to show elegance, which is one adjective i chose to respond to, i then bloated the serifs on the letterforms and seperated them internally from the letter to create a point. Direct also means to the point, so i thought this would visually communicate this.

In what ways are the results effective?

I think that the typeface overall has met the requirements of the brief and more. My favourite typeface design that i created responded to the chosen adjectives, but not only have i come up with one final idea, i continued to experiment with designs and have now come up with several ideas that still respond to the original brief. My partner, who the typeface was for was pleased with the outcome and also said that it works beautifully aesthetically.
